Hi, ordered a Cupra Born V1 (no extras) this morning on employers Leaseplan scheme - dealer has confirmed the order and estimated delivery for November  anyone have any insider knowledge on the accuracy of these lead times? as i'd previously been advised 16 weeks by Leaseplan. Thanks

I ordered through lease plan in November 22 got initial delivery date of 31st July 2023. Rang up as needed car in March on 6th Feb. Told I could change order with one that had been built awaiting ship. Just been told today it still hasn’t left Germany which is now a 6 week delay. No other ships planned for weeks so I think I might be cancelling mine as you can’t trust what lease plan or dealer says!

Wow, VW really messed up on many fronts. I wonder what impact on car batteries (both) of not being used for weeks?

I think I saw a user on the ID3 forum claim their leasing company said no ferries for a few.weeks to ship VW cars!

Has anyone had a Born delivery in March? If so, when did it leave the VW factory?

V3 77kw tech L in Glacier White ordered in June 2022 via Lex Autolease. Original date of Feb pushed back to May 2023 and now has just moved again to end of July 2023. I’ve got no confidence that date being achieved either. Considering what to do and whether to cancel.

I'd bet very good money that this is the cause of your delay. The larger battery versions of the ID.3 have also been plagued by delays, with some cars ordered in summer 2021 only just turning up now (!!!)

Could you consider dropping to the 58kWh version? If so, I suspect you'd have far less issue getting hold of one. Anecdotally, a friend ordered his in January and is due to get it later this month. Otherwise, if I was in your shoes, I would also look elsewhere as I would take any delivery date with a pinch of salt until the car is actually built.
