Hi, just got my Born yesterday here in Portugal.
This is the system info readout I have:
Device part number: xxxxxx
Hardware: H30
Software: 0561
Display unit/control panel hardware: H45
Display unit/control panel software: 6085
Navigation database: 23.1
Media Codec: 3.1.4
Unsure how that relates to the ID software versions on the ID.x cars (3.0, 3.1 etc). I'm hoping that hardware H30 will allow me to do OTA updates.

Software 0561 can be either 3.1 or 3.2.mluisbrown wrote: ↑Wed Mar 08, 2023 4:51 pm Hi, just got my Born yesterday here in Portugal.

If your Born was manufactured in the last 3 or 4 months you should have version 3.2, otherwise it's 3.1.
Versions 3.0 and above all allow for OTA updates. This has nothing to do with the hardware version.

Pretty sure it was manufactured in the last month or 2, so then I must have 3.2. Thanks! If your Born was manufactured in the last 3 or 4 months you should have version 3.2, otherwise it's 3.1.
Strange that they don't display this version in the system info screen.

Not strange - the software version displayed only from the infotainment unit, aka ICAS3. There are a lot of other hardware units potentially involved in software updates.mluisbrown wrote: ↑Thu Mar 09, 2023 9:11 am Strange that they don't display this version in the system info screen.
So in this case the difference between version 3.1 and 3.2 is also regarding the software for other control units. For example, the ICAS1 unit handles mission-critical vehicle logic.
If you use an OBDII dongle to read out all the software versions of all the controllers, you can see the differences between 3.1 and 3.2.
