The standard mats do look good. I confirmed with the dealer over the phone about the mats:-

Me: Are the cloth mats standard, I ask because they're not on the ID3.
Salesman: (smugly) Yes, everything's standard on the Cupra
Me: OK, Can you give me the car details so I can activate the 5 days free insurance for my drive home.
Salesman: Oh, that's a VW thing, Cupra doesn't do that.
Me: ok, not everything's standard then! Can you get me the reg details so I can sort my own?

The Born I've ordered doesn't come with a variable boot floor height (it's a stock car so that option wasn't available). I've found the variable boot floor can be ordered here:

https://seatdirectparts.co.uk/parts/cup ... oot-floor/

There is some fitting needed. Has anyone done this themselves. How easy is it?

It is reportedly very easy. A few tiny bits of boot carpet to trim away and a few screws into the bodywork (would make me wince to do that). Its not standard for the V2 spec, but to be honest, would you want to do it? It just makes the boot smaller, with a 10cm deep false floor to hide all your crap under, but isn't that easy to get into all of it. My Wife's ID3 family came with it fitted, my ID3 Life did not. I want to keep my boot as big as possible as it frequently has my 34Kg Chocolate Labrador in it. There are guides if you search on Speakev or the ID3 forums, personally, I wouldn't, although getting a shiny new car, its always tempting to do a few things to it to "personalise".

The v2 definitely comes with them. Not sure about the V1 - with your typo ("vq"), i'm not sure which variant you have.

Hmm.. I don't like the idea of trimming carpet. I do like having the raised boot floor. I've got it in my current car. I might ask the dealer if its something they can fit for me. Not essential tho.

I got nothing but the 2 keys, the cloth mats and the type 2 charging cable - I guess the saleman decided to keep the presentation box for himself if it was meant to come with the car - I didn't even get a dealership key ring.

I checked out the rubber mats at my local TPS, and those Seatpartsdirect RRPs seem to be completely made up - the RRP of the set of 4 rubber mats is £78, but they aren't available to actually buy yet, even though they have an item code.

They're on back order with that site, as they are with everyone else and those are the people i'm talking about. Their quoted RRP of £126 is absolute bollocks, they're £78 official RRP. To save the carpet mats getting shabby, we've got the ID3 rubber mats to tide us over until the Born rubbers are actually available to physically buy.

For the boot liner, i'm keeping my ID3 one. However, for anyone needing a rubber boot liner for their Born, I would recommend getting an unbranded one from "Driveden". When I got my Audi A4, I got a boot liner and rubber mats from them rather than paying the ridiculous Audi prices, and they were made in Germany, better than OEM quality - rubber rather than plastic. They have a boot liner for the ID3, but it will also suit the Born unless you go and get one of those false boot floor kits that the ID3 has (honestly, don't bother) and is £35:-

https://www.driveden.com/product/novlin ... 2022-11246

If you look around on Google, you'll normally find discount codes for Driveden, at least 10% off you first order if not a general code.
