I think they were sitting outside the factory in a field for months on end waiting for chip deliveries. 2-3 weeks is what I'd like to see, but could end up being a little optimistic.

My order is for the V2 58kWh in Vapor Grey with Tech M and Cargo Pack.

If I'd have realised the default trim doesn't come with rear speakers I probably would have gone for the Beats audio pack too but can't do anything about that now.
Same for me on the speakers, only realised after seeing it in a review. The kids aren't going to be impressed that there isn't any!
I wonder if anyone has been brave enough yet to open a door trim on the standard audio spec and see if the wiring is there that could just be connected and coded for?

People with ID.3s have reported that there aren't any wires in theirs so I very much doubt there would be in the Born either

Can the order be updated to include the Beats of it’s not had a confirmed build date yet?

I would say so, but it might push you to the back of the queue so to speak. Then again, if you don't have a build date yet you're likely going to be waiting well into 2023 anyway

Well, it turns out it wasn't 30! Just got the call to say it's left the factory. Dealer reckons mid-July collection!

So by that logic, it should be two weeks time for mine... Although let's face it there seems to be no rhyme or reason to how long any of these orders take.

My dealer has confirmed that my order has been sent to the factory, and that she'll let me know when I've been allocated a build week.

...and now we play the waiting game

I saw that on the ID3 forum, they have a spreadsheet to track deliveries - might be quite a good idea to get one set up over here

Fingers crossed! I was told there are currently delays of around two weeks on most orders due to parts shortages. However, this was a rumor my Dealer heard from another Cupra dealer. So maybe take it with a pinch of salt, but also don't hold your breath lol!

Well I was wrong, but in a good way, I've just been informed by the dealer that my car has left the factory and is on it's way.

I wonder how long it takes to ship over.

In Germany, some people have been waiting up to 8 weeks for it to arrive at the dealer after it "leaves" the factory. No kidding.

Supposedly many of the transport trailers wait until they have a full load to a particular destination before actually picking up vehicles from the factory.
