Hi, I'm posting this in case it helps someone else.
Today my charge port cover got stuck when I closed it after charging. It was nearly shut, but not quite - it wasn't flush with the body of the car. No amount of prodding and pushing would make it open, which meant I wouldn't be able to charge again.
After a bit of googling I discovered the fix: push hard on the port cover as if closing it, whilst repeatedly locking/unlocking the car with the remote. After a few goes at this the actuator released and now my charge port is operating normally. I discovered this because the charge port cover is the same mechanics as the petrol flap cover in VW ICE cars, so lots of cases of the actuator sticking given the number of cars with this mechanism across both EV and non-EV. If this does happen, don't force the flap open as that will likely break it. Instead, apply this fix and you'll likely fix it without damage and without a visit to a mechanic.
Charging port stuck not fully closed
Hello to anyone else who also experiences this. I have had it happen twice in the last year with a 1 year old Born. Luckily I too did not try to force the flap open and after a few failed attempts at pushing it closed, I gave up and drove the car home (with the flap protruding slightly). My intention was to look into it once I had arrived home. Both times the flap released itself just after I parked the car. I am guessing it was related to the auto door locking system unlocking the doors on arrival. If it helps, I did not have to press on the flap for it to be released when the door locking system toggled.
It is great that this thread was started as it was a bit concerning when it happened to me the first time and well worth others knowing about it.

I removed the rear carpet and added a manual release to mine. The charge flap has got jammed (solid) shut 3 times now.
I regularly grease the mech etc, but it's just awful design.
I now have a pull cord in the boot that will release the door if the mech gets stuck.
