Same for me yesterday. I had to sign in again (which took a few attempts) and then it started showing the range again eventually.

But it hasn't charged properly overnight. The Cupra app has given loads of notifications about starting and stopping and the Ohme smart schedule looked weird last night.

Even manually setting it to max charge this morning only had it at 1.3kW.

This is probably the most frustrating part of owning an EV. When it works it's great. When it doesn't you have no idea why. Did Octopus not give enough slots? Was there a problem with the cable? Was the car refusing to charge?

Neither Cupra nor Ohme will surface this info. I have to email Ohme and there's no Cupra email address for car tech support other than booking it in at the dealer for a 'diagnostic' where they will inevitably find nothing wrong because I'm sure it'll charge fine tonight.

You'd think they'd have this sorted by now.

Try cupradigitalsupport@cupraofficial.com I messaged them about the app before, I'm not sure if they helped or if it sorted itself out but they did reply!

Totally agree - its definitely the most frustrating part and impossible to diagnose - only option is wait 24hrs and hope it works again. Can see this being a big blocker to uptake on EVs and would be enough to cause some people to revert back to ICE. Not everyone has the patience or the ability to navigate numerous apps and confusing UI just to charge a car.

ImageInterestingly I emailed Ohme and they said the usual send us photos of all this stuff so I thought might as well and did.

They said the CT clamp is on the wrong cable which didn't seem like it would be an issue to me because it works fine 95% of the time.

Sure enough, after moving the CT clamp the Ohme app is now showing the correct house draw and it charged fine last night.

Whether it makes any difference or not remains to be seen but perhaps it will be more robust now it actually has the full info.

If you are using an Ohme charger they have told me they are aware of the issues with VW/Cupra/Seat ID and are working on a fix

Hi,
I'm waiting for my VZ and have had the Ohme home pro fitted and will be switching tariff to Inteligent Octopus so am keen to find out what the best strategy is for setting up a reliable charging during cheap rates. From reading posts on the forum it sounds like schedules can be set via car, ohme or IO so what is the best approach? thx

I only use IO. I switched around 3 years ago and it has been faultless in that time.
IO controls the car. The charger, Podpoint Solo is set to manual. No schedules in the car.
The car charge-to level has to be set higher than IO charge-to as I guess if it wasn't the car ultimately would stop charging when it's own level is reached.
One other thing I like about IO that isn't talked about much is the Off Peak window. I often don't need the car until 11am so set that in the Octopus App. I often find the schedule that IO sets up will then charge from say 9:00am- 11:00am as the final input. That's handy if you want to use the washer, dish washer and tumble dryer at the same time as its all at Off Peak rates.
IO will also provide me a schedule if you plug in at say 8:30am and charge immediately until 11.30am if I forget to plug in the night before.
IO is 100% for me.

Thx sounds good and as I am at home quite a bit I could set a larger charging window during the day too!
