It basically micro adjusts your steering to keep you in the middle of the lane, so you can get on with drinking a coffee, brushing your hair, putting your make-up on or texting whilst driving.

Only works properly if you have a capacitative steering wheel, otherwise you have to keep nudging the steering wheel so that the car knows you have a grip on the steering wheel.

Well it's confirmed, the Aurora Blue E-Boost has no capacitative steering wheel either. It would seem that it's an E-boost thing, to be confirmed if everyone else with a 204ps variant also has a capacitative steering wheel like Betty.

Apart from the E-boost buttons on the wheel, is there any other physical difference between the E-Boost and non E-Boost steering wheels? Do all Borns have a flat bottomed steering wheel, or is that an E-Boost thing?

As far as I am aware all Borns have the flat bottomed steering wheel.

Ah, so it does, just looked at the pics I took of a 204ps V1 demo I had a test drive in. The extra buttons on our E-Boosts seem to be bolted in from the back of the steering wheel, with what is likely some kind of blanking plates for the 204ps steering wheel where the buttons would otherwise go. With that in mind, the basic steering wheel with or without buttons should be the same, so it seems like absolute pot luck whether you get a capacitative steering wheel or not, rather than by design, but who knows? :?:

Sorry if already mentioned, but other than poking about with OBD11, is there any way of checking if the wheel is capacitive?

nope.

At this point it's only sheer luck that will get you a capacitive steering wheel. According to a few dealers and Cupra reps, it's possible the Travel Assist package will be available to order again at the end of August.

fwiw in Germany, 103 ID.3's with Travel Assist (and the capacitive steering wheel) shipped in the 2nd half of May according to this site based on registration data:

I'd have to take a look around, but it's all here somewhere, probably early in the very thread. Should be easy for you to search for it.

Hi
I have obdeleven, would love to find out if I have a capacitive steering wheel for travel assist, although I doubt it as I waited a while on this car the only optional extras is beats audio, sunroof & ble paint job.
Where do I go to find this out & complete this if I do?
Cheers.
