Interesting that it scored 8% lower than the ID.3 on the assistance systems. I'm tempted to say some of that could simply come down software differences and simply to chance considering the sensor and camera layouts are nearly identical:

Or perhaps standards have tightened in the last 18 months since ID3 was launched.

I believe they tighten standards constantly as it shouldn't be that every car gets 5 stars. Prime example of this is the Renault Zoe which got 5 stars in 2013 but then 0 stars when the 2021 model was tested.
EDIT: just looked into it and in this case it lost marks because NCAP claims that the Born doesn't have map data or road sign recognition for speed assistance, which is definitely incorrect for the UK as every model here has that. Not sure about other regions.
