You can run the ventilation fan without the AC compressor running by making sure it's not enabled in the Climate menu. I really rate my Born and my ID3 before it although the latter's interior was dull.
I'm a car fan in general from an older generation and appreciate the Born for what a good car it is. Not the best TABLET on wheels maybe but these days the car itself seems to get a bit overlooked..
