Re: Winter wheels
@monkeyhanger - yes it’s disappointing when the dealers can’t say yes or no and have no interest in finding out. I don’t want to buy a set of used wheels only to find that they don’t fit. Another consideration I’ve not bothered to look at - because of the uncertainty of 18” wheels is how to adjust ...

Winter wheels
Has anyone bought a set of wheels for putting winter tyres on? I’m not discussing ‘tyre’ choice as that just instantly turns like a “which oil?” thread on M/C forums. :D With my Zoes I got a brand new set of Russian made steelies. Of course, one Zoe had 4 bolts and the other 5… Also these days I’m n...

That looks decent. Thinking about winter tyres/wheels right now.
If that happens - plenty time to clean and apply those when ‘off’ the car.

For UK and Ireland - if you haven’t already, get WattsUp App.
It only shows Rapid / Ultra Rapid chargers so you’re not wading through 7 and 22 units if you want to do a decent cross country trip.

Re: First reasonoble length drive.... Hmm
You’re worrying too much about not using full beam! A solution I use is ABRP with TRONITY. ABRP works out where the stops you need will be, switching if units go offline or are all in use, you choose the road types you want. Normally anything goes. On holiday, esp. abroad I’ll choose no Highways (ak...

Re: Belinda from Carlisle?
It was a revelation to find the first charge I’d ever done with the Born go straight to 75kW on this machine instead of 44 with the Zoe.

Belinda from Carlisle?
Well as I said I don’t give my cars names. After looking and poking around the local dealers (whose product knowledge I found lacking) I stumbled upon a white one just in the showroom in Carlisle.
A man made me an offer I couldn’t understand and here we are.
A Cupra charging in Cupar

I don’t name my cars. Ok, the last two have been Zoe, but as the new one was found in Carlisle she has to be Belinda?

Re: What other Electric Cars have you driven?
I’ve driven Leafs, and SAIC vans but owned two Zoes - 22 and 50. ZE50 on 17” with the wider tyres corners far better than the early ones and is good for annoying the young Corsa lads. Haha! Serial ‘white’ car buyer. Why change to a Born (arriving at the weekend)? Three things really. Zoes don’t allo...
