Battery warranty and servicing
One question on the battery warranty and servicing. After the car is 3 years old and outside manufacturer warranty (if not extended) can you get your car serviced by an independent garage and still maintain the warranty for the main battery ?

Re: Servicing
You'll be surprised then. Presumably in a move to preserve dealership servicing revenues, the official ID3 service prices are scandalous, despite VW's ID range promotional Web pages promoting cheap service costs as an advantage to EV ownership. There's very few things that actually need doing, but ...

Re: Order Lead Times
It appears 160 Cupra Borns have been recalled. These are all undelivered cars. They all have a steering column fault. Our dealer SMC Woking will offer us a loan car to enable us to trade in our ICE car. No idea when the steering column fault will be fixed. Count yourself lucky. I had a nightmare wi...

Have you tried cleaning the windscreen glass where the camera and sensor are. Mine did similar thing with various symbols on display. Clean the glass with some glass cleaner and see if it fixes it.

Re: Charging current is below 11kW and declining
They can scan the car and see if there are any issues when charging. I scanned my car with VCDS to back up before software updates in case it clobbers the car. Its most probably the AC charger as you said or a setting in it. There could be a charge limit somewhere. I will scan my car and look.

Re: Dash lifting. Is this normal ?
Yep dealer sorted it thanks. It's been seen on several cars and can be like it from factory. It took the Tech seconds to clip back by lifting one side. I didn't see him do it but that is what I was told.

Re: Variable boot floor install
I got mine from SeatParts Direct in Swindon. Boot Floor about same weight so not sure what Cupra are on about. The 77 kwh battery is worth it if you do long commutes but I have the 58 kwh and I am getting 200 miles in summer with aircon on, Eco mode and driving between 20 and 65 mph. About 170 in co...

Re: Firestorm Wheels
The video explains it all. As anyone knows the range test carried out by all manufacturers is carried out under very controlled conditions. I do know that many tests are done with all accessories like jack, spare wheel, tyre repair kit and even charging cable removed from the car. The car would have...
